RJ Martin, legendary custom knife-maker, teamed up with TRM to develop a titanium framelock, aptly named the “Machine.”

RJ’s choice of blade steel was the premium Carpenter CTS XHP. The added carbon, nickel and vanadium enhance edge retention, ready to take on RJ’s razor-sharp edge.  The Drop Point Tanto blades  are hollow ground with a handsome CNC machined secondary swedge.

The blade flies out of the frame with the flick of the “RJ tight” flipper. This sturdy .188” thick blade is expected to see lots of  hard use. The Machine would be considered a large knife (8.5” OAL), but surprisingly weighs in at a modest 5.8 oz.

The Machine’s 3D machined frames create a flowing wave that allows for a comfortable fit  in the palm of your hand. The jet black G10 backspacers with jimping add to the secure feeling in your hand and provide a sharp contrast to the stonewashed titanium frames. A 3” stonewashed reversible titanium bent clip completes the package.

Besides sharpening these Machines, RJ Martin has fine-tuned each folder to be sure they meet his quality standards.
